ecoScorecard fills an ever widening information gap. Design professionals face hundreds and thousands of choices in SKUs offered by each manufacturer. Searching for which products are green is no easy task. Understanding how a product will help them achieve the requirements of the rating system they’re building towards has become a burden. Additionally manufactures are continually adjusting designs, product formulations, colors and 3rd party standards, and sifting through the changes can be overwhelming.
ecoScorecard gives the end user the chance to find the right product for their needs and produces the necessary environmental documentation for inclusion in the project folder. A user can sort through a variety of criteria ranging from product type to green characteristics. For instance, in flooring, after finding a product, a user enters the product cost (either provided by her sales rep or by the default price provided), total amount of square footage needed and the project’s zip code. Then, with one click of a button, ecoScorecard generates a printable page showing the selected product(s) general environmental characteristics along with the environmental ratings information that the user has asked for.
